So this Spicks and Specks rip off called You May Be Right (what an awful name for a show by the way) is getting killed off. Now I’m sure the 19 million people who inhabit Australia didn’t even know this show existed because only 1 million or so tuned in on its premiere night and then dropped to just under 800 000 people in its second week after a major overhaul in production.
I’m sorry but Todd McKenney, the fool he is at times (you can disagree), cannot pull off game show host personality. Leave that to Larry Emdur or John Burges. Or even Rove.
Shows that use the same guest to participate is getting tedious. What show has Jade McRae NOT made an appearance on? What’s your career goal? Frequent TV guest on random shows that get killed off or singer? It’s not the latter at the moment is it? I’ve heard nada about her new album or new single. More about her violating the road rules, I’d say.
She is a good singer, getting her mug out there for the masses, but I would like her to be known as a singer and not an annoying TV guest. So hopefully she plans to use something with the exposure she’s gotten since It Takes Two.
But enough about her, You May Be Right has an awful set, looks like something out of It’s a Knockout from the 80s (I loved that show!). We all know the concept of the show is a rip off of Spicks and Specks so that doesn’t help the show’s image either.
No wonder it’s getting killed off. Sorry Todd, go back to Dancing with the Stars and criticise people. It’s what you’re good at!
