Effortless? What? Erika Heynatz and male parter totally BUTCHERED one of my favourite songs. Is it just me or has Erika gotten a bit too big of an ego as the competition progresses?
Second half of the show started off a bit strange. Rachel Beck and Ryan Fuze don’t really mash well together for ballads. He sounds like a rocker, she sounds like she’s doing opera. But Larry Emdur loved it. Where’s is the beloved Grant Denyer? I made an effort to watch Sunrise last week and was utterly disappointed that he wasn’t there to tell me what the weather was like!
What’s the deal with swimmers trying to crack it onto TV screens? Sarah Ryan being Britney? Wrong, wrong wrong. But credit to her and Guy doing to ballad. One of my childhood songs and Guy rocked singing it. Oh and Sarah wasn’t as bad.
It Takes Two (if you hadn’t figured it out by now), the show has slightly improved but I’d rather pick judges that I knew of rather than the ones that have been plucked out of obscurity and not properly targeted to the 16-36 age demographic. I mean I’m 20 (and still not used to it) and I have no idea who everyone, bar Marina Prior, is. Am I going to sit through an hour-plus show to watch them critique the contestants? No, I’m gonna spend some time critiquing them!
And onto LC news. Apparently Louis Vuitton does not want to give her an internship in Paris after The Hills has wrapped up. That’s just lame. And I’m talking lame towards MTV or anyone connected to LC having to ask someone to give her an internship. Hasn’t she forgotten how to earn things for herself these days? Not ‘Mum and Dad give me money to live the high life in Hollywood now I expect someone else to give me everything I want as well’. Good on Louis Vuitton for saying nay – cos if they said yes, it’ll cheapen their image more than the knock offs that are going round since forever.
