Laguna Beach Season 3 has arrived!

Wow. I feel so privileged to watch the first episode of Laguna Beach: Season 3. Now I have slammed this show for making it not so real this season…
But for a moment I don’t really care and I’m totally hooked.
Same scenarios, same drama, but I’M HOOKED.

So the first episode had a new narrator and a new cast. Nothing new there. Tessa, season 3’s narrator is considered a bit of an outcast and has a bit of a ‘poor-me’ kinda vibe going because the most popular girls in school don’t like her. Probably because they slept with the same guy in the same time period and hated her and expelled her from the clique or something (don’t take my word for it).
Which brings me to the topic of sex. Seriously, is this all 16-17 year olds have on the brain right now? All they talk about is how cute one guy (or girl) is and talk about hooking up with them the day after a party. There must be something in the water (hehe). There’s another love-triangle going again this season (one occurred in season one with Kristin/Jason/Lauren) but I think Jessica should be wise enough to know that going out with a boy 2 years after graduating from high school herself is a bit sad.
Yes, some of the old cast members come back every once in a while. The first episode shows Jessica, Alex M, Alex H and Taylor reuniting for a bit of gossip about the current cast and the last cast. I’m sure the latter 3 are doing it for the fun and to keep the storyline going about the old cast but seriously, Jess, you need another hobby instead of mansooning – especially with young boys who don’t know a thing about being faithful and treating a girl right (but kudos to Cameron who offered to open up her car door) by NOT going off and hooking up with other people. I can see this getting messy.
Alongside other messy things about to occur thanks to clever editing by MTV portraying Kyndra (the supposed most popular girl in the whole entire Laguna for the year of 2006), as a maneating…<insert bad word here>, the most popular girls are actually quite sad to watch. All they do is bitch and whine about people they don’t like (most likely Tessa as a hot topic of conversation) and try to ruin their lives as a result of their hatred for that person.
For the love of God people, I cannot believe how sad they can be. They obviously have watched Mean Girls but didn’t extract the real meaning from the movie and are very mean girls! Devoting your time to ruin someone’s life isn’t something to be proud of. Just because Raquel/Rocky didn’t get invited to Kyndra’s party doesn’t mean you devote your night to ruin hers, Kyndra, Lexie and Cami. You three are so sad – just because you are blessed with great wealth and don’t feel the need to achieve much doesn’t mean it’s cool to make peoples lives a miserable.
Now I know MTV would’ve made the entire cast to sign clauses giving MTV the authority to portray them however they like, the way I’m writing is how other people will treat them in their respective blogs - except far worse. I just find this entertainment, something to get away and enjoy for 20 mins a week and write about it.
But after watching how awful some people in the world can be towards another, I’m still hooked.
