So much dra-ma for the new kids/Source: MTV
Nothing has really changed except for MTV pushing to create identities for the girls and guys and typecast them by season’s end.
So in a short summary for episode three, Rocky holds her annual Christmas party at her place, all is going well until two of the self-appointed popular girls, Cami and Kyndra decide to not crash it but ‘turn up uninvited’. Of course, MTV would’ve forced Rocky to let it be once they show up so there is some sort of drama to keep us thrilled for at least 5 minutes. Then all hell breaks loose when one random girl supposedly said that Cami was ‘dirty’ so she confronts that poor girl and leaves her in tears. For goodness sake, does this girl let things go? Of course not. While leaving a small trail of destruction, she would not stop going on about how that girl said she was dirty. What good does that do retelling the story over and over again? She sure does take great pleasure doing so – maybe she’s indirectly reiterating that she’s dirty to get the boys? At the moment she’s just Kyndra sidekick while Kyndra is trying so hard to hook up with Cameron.
Now Cameron, he’s a work in progress because it’s Jessica from season 1 and 2 that needs help. She just cannot date younger boys, it looks bad, even her mum from the second episode told her off for dating a younger boy. But she obviously didn’t listen cos she’s still hooking up with that boy. Seems she’s still stuck in the bubble because everyone else has ‘graduated’ from the bubble and moved on but she’s one of those girls that I see (along with Cami and Kyndra) trying to milk it again and again in reality TV until she’s old and wrinkly.
So Kyndra holds another party. Woohoo. This is for a mega-bitch session, and more shots of a desperate Kyndra trying to hook in again with Cameron using flattery ‘I’m so glad you wore a collared shirt’ line to get him back in her even-more good books. I’ve never used that line on any guy – is this a Laguna thing? Anyways, Cameron didn’t stay for long, he bailed to hook up with Jessica much to Kyndra’s dismay because, you know, she was horny and wanted some tonight since she was hosting a party and all. She needed a bonus. Sorry, honey, stop going after a guy who is sharing himself around. It doesn’t work.
You can sort of see which direction this season is turning into. Bitchiness, unrequited love (Tessa going after Chase), horny drunk teens (um…starting to sound like a copy headline for a porn site here), and more bitchiness.
It’s never gonna end! But still fun to watch.
