It's nearly time!

I am about to scream with excitement.
The release date of Laguna Beach Season 3 is near (in the US)!
My daily ritual of logging onto my favourite gossip sites has revealed a brand spankin’ new website dedicated to season 3 on MTV. It made my morning! Though, the credibility of how real it is this season hangs in the balance. But I’m excited that the time is near for our fix of super-rich, terribly spoilt teens that live in Orange County.
So this season it’s a new cast, new dra-ma and…not much else. For the past 2 seasons we watch seniors and juniors go through the trials and tribulations of teenage life (oh the dra-ma), go to Cabo where they all get drunk and hook up with one another or make someone jealous by doing so, go to winter formal and senior prom (sorry I got a bit of an Aussie slang going), and finally graduate and cry bucket loads cos they’re all gonna be separated and heading off to college. My last remark may not be true though cos really, they all know it’s a way to exploit themselves (in a good way, of course cos they’re parents are watching) and move to LA and make as much money as they can just because they were on a TV show. Look at the last 2 LB alumni – Kristen Cavallari and Talan Torerererererio (he’s insignificant in my eyes). Both ‘dated’ big name Hollywood celebrities to get a chance to have some of the Hollywood fodder. One has seemingly done alright, the other…has done okay but not as great as the other. C-Grade celebrity, much?
So my point is, LB and any other teen ‘coming of age’ show are perceived to be a stepping stone for any career choice (currently it’s to be at every party in town and on a magazine front cover). This isn’t always a bad thing, as long as you handle it properly. But then again, there is no way to handle it properly thanks to the media who try and create a negative image of anyone who accidentally slips up in life. Highly entertaining, but what happened to morals?
Anyway this is one show I can’t WAIT to watch again. Of course it’s all very staged but since I’m a sucker for Mean Girls, I’m a sucker for anything remotely teeny-boppy in regards to TV shows. LB may not have as many evil girls as Mean Girls (but with that clique involving Kyndra, Lexie and Cami you never know) but MTV will sure be making the dra-ma look very interesting. And judging by the group shot above, they are a bunch of damn posers milking it for all its worth.
If anyone bothers to care (I know I do at intermittent times!) check out the new cast and updates here.
So if any US readers are out there please drop me a line and keep me updated with what’s happening!
