Erika takes the It Takes Two crown

Now who was right about Erika Heynatz winning It Takes Two? Me, of course! And thankfully, people know how to vote this time around. Because lately, some just don’t (read: BB). And I think it’s to with pre-pubescent girls thinking Jamie is the hotness.
I knew from the start that Erika was gonna win because she had singing experience. So what? These days underdogs can win anything because they’re marketed as cute and cuddly and their ‘can do’ attitude shows that’s what the Aussie spirit is all about.
Right, but lately, it’s making us look we choose unlikely people who are overweight people who smoke too many cigarettes a day to be our Idol (read: Casey Donovan).
Back on It Takes Two, it was the last show for the season there was going to be a huge void to fill. And what do you do when that happens? Place a huge emphasis on what is going to fill that void – endless shameless promotion for upcoming shows. So they threw in David Koch to market his comeback show while he tries to convince us he’s here to watch the show.
And Grant Denyer and Teresa Livingstone need coaching on suspense. Sorry, but I wasn’t feeling it and they just couldn’t pull it off. Too much cheese last night.
But kudos to the everyone who voted for the right person, even though the winner was chosen by the most points scored during the entire season.
