It was funny to watch the young girls on the higher stage in shock after Dean's name was called. Ahh those were the years when I went crazy for Hanson (shut up) and lived my life for them in primary school. Quite sad.
But those girls needn't worry. Cos of his uber good looks and token hott boy label throughout the comp, I wouldn't be surprised if he got a deal. In fact, he's already got it cos of his token hott boy label throughout the competition. Which is kinda sickening in a way. Predictability means that he's got a lot to live up to, if he bums out with his single...well that's gonna suck a lot for him now? And for the record executives as well who spent thousands grooming him and recording his album.
So who's gonna win? Damien or Jessica?
So far my money is on Damien for all-round talent.

My money is on Damien too. I'm never one to watch Idol and I still don't, but I watch it this season to catch his peformances.
That Dean got this far in the competition I think pretty much sums up what the show is really about and what pop "music" is all about these days.

I'm sure many girls my age back then were crazy for Hanson cos we'd never seen a boy band like them!
I think this season has a lot of biased cos the judges were pushing for a particular look and sound not just bubblegum pop like the previous seasons.
