Dancing! I mean...Singing! With the Stars!

Just checking up on ‘It Takes Two’. The show has actually improved! I’m highly impressed. I think maybe because the numbers have gone down, the singers get a little extra time to sing and surprisingly, some of their voices have improved.
My top pick for this week is Erika Heynatz and male counterpart (I can’t remember his name but he’s quite insignificant in the competition since it’s the celebrity that’s the popular one). Although she is the Nikki Webster of the singing competition (ie had singing experience prior to show) she does sound pretty decent and I think she can win it.
Since Singing with the Stars started I predict a boom in singing lessons across the country. Unless you’ve been living under a rock and not been paying attention, after Dancing with the Stars everyone’s been signing up for dance classes. Even me! Well not yet, I’m still contemplating whether to quit the gym and do dance or do it as a one off.
Anyways, I think these shows (as much as I sometimes abhor them for the publicity stunt) are a good thing to increase a boom in any industry. Have they considered doing a reality TV show to increase the amount of teachers in the classroom? A good starting point – why not name the show…Teaching with the Stars – since anything ending with the phrase ‘with the stars’ guarantees interest and too much publicity. So my new TV concept, we get D-list celebrities in the classrooms and each week they have to teach the kids so they get as many A-grade students in the class as possible. The public vote on who is a good teacher and as per channel 7 reality TV show, we vote them off every week until we get one qualified teacher out of the stars.
It may not sound as exciting as singing and dancing, but at least the celebrity has something to fall back on once they cark it in showbiz.
