Super Sweet 16 with Stephanie
January 26th 2007 11:15
I got sick of playing poker and already had my dose of The Hills for the week so there wasn’t anything good to watch…
Except for My Super Sweet 16.
Yes, last time I watched it I vowed it would be the last because of how screwed up the girls are and how society is far too materialistic especially teenagers.
This week I viewed an episode based on Stephanie. How she got on the show is baffling because it was her 15th birthday MTV was profiling. And judging by the wealth of Stephanie’s family and her own behaviour, I’m sure she kicked and screamed and cursed her way through so that MTV would pick her story up and show the world how messed up she is.
I’ve only viewed half the episode and already I can tell that parents are to blame for the kids highly materialistic demands.
Stephanie’s parents have the ‘poor us our daughter is out of control by backchatting us’ demeanour going. And as much as I’d be sorry for them, I’m not. They should’ve taught her better than let her have 15 birthday cakes and an outrageous theme for just a pissy 15th birthday party. I mean, come on, I’m planning my 21st right now and I’m iffy spending $1500 let along Stephanie having the demands of spending more than $69 000 ON A 15TH BIRTHDAY PARTY.
Seriously, the world is SCREWED.
AND I PLEDGE I WILL NOT WATCH ANOTHER EPISODE EVER AGAIN.
Except for My Super Sweet 16.
